Why I’m Running
I’m running for city council because neighborhoods like mine and young folks like me deserve equal representation in City Hall as we chart Greenville’s future. In this moment of tremendous change, we have to decide if we are going to grow together — all of us — or leave some of our neighbors behind.
As your city councilwoman, I won’t shy away from difficult conversations about gentrification, what real investment in affordable housing and public transportation look like, and how we can achieve sustainable, equitable growth in our city – I’ve got the track record to prove it.
I will champion these issues as I work hard to make City Hall as transparent, accessible, and inclusive as possible, the way local government ought to be. We can’t build a city for everyone if we don’t have everyone at the table.
A vote for me on June 11th is a vote for fresh perspective and bold, representative leadership. I look forward to hearing from you on the campaign trail and growing this movement together.
This campaign is about making sure every single person who lives in the City of Greenville has the opportunity and tools they need to succeed.
Lindsey Jacobs says all city residents need to have representation in city hall. That’s why she says she’s running for Greenville City Council.
